Cell Phone Mounts

Has anyone installed a phone mount in their superduty that they are satisfied with? I've shopped around at a few stores but most products require some kind of sticky tape applied to the dash and I really don't want to do that. I've also looked at the products from Builtright and Bulletpoint that mount into the recess on top of the dash and require screwing into the top of the dash. If I decide to change or remove the phone mount in the future I'd like to do it without leaving behind any scars.

Someone’s going to flame you about searching. But honest advice give it a try. They’re are a few good existing threads that cover a lot of options.

but with respect to the builtright - when I installed mine I took the rubber tray liner out. If I ever remove the bracket the rubber tray liner will cover the holes, so no worries there.

Course motorsports mount. Bolts to one of the screen bolts inside the dash and it’s 100% removable.

I like that, that's a clean install. I scrolled to the bottom of the web page and saw the installation video, pretty straight forward. Thanks for info and pics!

what is the size of thing you have to put on your phone? I run lifeproof cases and they are already a little thick. And i just went to their site, it looks like they make one for all makes except ford. Did you just find one that fit?

I have a Rokform case on my phone which has magnets built into the case. I like it so when excavating at work I can stick the phone to the cab of the machine. I’ll post the links to the case and phone mount. The mount being magnetic and the case having magnets built in make it solid and doesn’t move at all.

thanks, i dont think it will work with the new trucks with sync 4 and the big screen. But they did have a nice plastic pry kit i ordered. I’m going to reach out just to make sure it wont fit but they specify 2022 that have sync 3.

Built Right, with some Ram mounts, and I use a Squish phone holder. It clamps the phone by gravity and is a wireless charger. I put a dual USB port in the dash pocket, tied in off the cigarette lighter / power port on the lower dash.

Section179,
The power outlets to operate your devices for your dash mount. Where did you connect into to get the power to supply those outlets? I am looking to do something like this but I did not get the "uplifter" switch option.

Thanks

Be sure to press the "show more" at the bottom. I have been using their mounts for over 10 years now. All of their mounts are not permanent meaning the truck does not have to be modified. I picked the right hand console mount as blocking AC vents in Texas is not something I would ever do. On top of that mount, I have their MagSafe holder but they have holders for all models with and without cases.

I ordered this one. Not happy with the ram holder with the 4 rubber tipped fingers.
