5r110w swap

5r110w swap
I just swapped an around same mileage same year 5r110w in. I had no issues lining everything up and putting it in, but now as I go try to drive it to relearn I’m getting codes for solenoids B through E. I did the pcm relearn and reset the KAM but I’m still dealing with this. All plugs are good and have been cleaned with QD cleaner. Anyone have any ideas?

What codes are you getting? Codes for solenoids is not enough description for me to be able to offer any useful help. I need code numbers.

I am getting codes p0763 p0768 p0773 p0979 p0982 and p0985

Each of these is an electrical circuit code. The most likely explanation is that a wiring harness was damaged while installing the transmission.

So it could either be the harness outside the trans or the internal harness

It could even be the solenoids themselves, but how likely is it that three solenoids failed at once, or one wiring harness was damaged?

Thank you mark, I definitely agree with you there. Being as the connectors seemed wet when I picked it up it’s a high chance it was in the rain. Just checked the truck side and all is okay with no abnormal resistance. I will swap my old harness in and see how that works out.

If you do not find any issues with the wiring get a subscription to Alldatadiy.com and go through the code diagnostics. Chances are when you find one issue it will take care of them all. Do you know the history of the transmission you installed? Are you sure it was good before it was removed from parts engine.

I swapped the harness and you were right mark, threw my old one that worked fine in and it was the wiring. Works great now, thank you
