I've rolled over odometers multiple times. When they roll over from 999999.9 to 000000.0 all the numbers to the left of the reset miles or klicks are zeros. The Canadian trucks have one more digit is the only difference.
So from the pictures and the store you think the truck has rolled over?

Didn't say that. I haven't looked at the truck much besides one exterior photo. I only stated the possible klicks based on the odometer reading. I don't have an opinion on the actual klickage.
Ok Dave, I looked at the interior pics. Somehow I missed those before. In my opinion the truck is low miles based on appearance of the interior. But mind you interior elements are replaceable. My guess is 39k klicks is the true klickage.

You are right on it could have been replaced, just look at what my truck started with and it now, the whole truck you would never know was the same truck.
I also think the 39 is true for that truck.

not over thinking it. Just wondering when they roll over. If each tumbler has 9 digits, then this is either a 40,000 km truck, or someone tampered qith the odometer. Is that what youre suggesting?
Lots of parts on it have very little wear, like hardly any, and dont seem to have been replaced.
i bought it from a young guy who bought it from the widow of ghe original owner. It was his sunday driver, his "going to the cottage" truck. I think he pulled a little trailer on it. I highly doubt the young fella tampered with the odometer (if thats possible?), but even if he did.. why would he change it to such a hard-to-believe number like 40k??
I really dont care, im just curious.. it runs like a champ and looks dang good. but my guess is that its a very low km truck.
but i guess your "hmmm" implys you think someone tampered with the odometer? Hmmm, indeed.
Seems like you have a lot of the history of this truck, so I am being more convinced that it might be a low mileage truck. Having provenance along with the lower numbers boosts your claims. That is low enough that I would do some more digging. Do you not have a service in Canada that would tell you the history of a vehicle? Like a "CarFacts" or something like that?

Have you tried "CarFacts" on your truck?
I bet it will not show anything as someone would need to put the information into the system and being CF came out long after our trucks did not one would have put the info in.
Heck My 02 Dodge that I ordered new has alway's gone to the dealers for work and I asked the dealer down here when I moved to look up when service was done and they told me the dealers are not linked up to each other! If dealers cant do that for their customers then I cant see CF having info on our trucks that are a lot older.

My buddy and i are arguing over the true km's on my truck..
1986 F250, 5.0l 302 V8...
the odometer reads ~40k km's. Its a Canadian truck. He thinks they roll over at 300k for some reason, and so he thinks its ACTUALLY got 340k km's. I think thats BS... why would they roll over at 300k??
so, does anyone know for certain when these trucks (Canadian!) roll over??
Thanks!
Some early GM digital odometers only went to around 300 K then started over.
Yours will go to 999999.9 before rolling over.
There's always the possibility it was rolled back sometime in the past although it doesn't look tampered with.
Another possibility the speedometer cable was disconnected or broken sometime in the past as well.
I have seen some really low KM trucks out of Fort McMurray sold at auction in the past.
They were mostly F-350 4x4 with 4 speeds and very often 300 6 cyl Engines.
I guess it depends on where it lives. I have bought old vehicles down in the states, and it shows each time it was brought in for inspection, and each time it changed owners. That can tell you alot when you read between the lines.
