1FDPK84NXDVA26350 52 K840 8 HBN SK Sticker on door jam is unreadable. This is off metal tag in glove box. I know this has 8.2 DDC and was a state bought unit.
P = Class 7, 26,001 to 33,000lbs GVWR hydraulic brakes
K84 = F800 diesel, cab model (as in cab and chassis)
N = Detroit DDA model 990N OR 990T, 8.2 liter (501 CID) 8 cylinder diesel
X = check digit, ignore
D = 1983 model year
V = Kentucky Truck Plant
A26350 = Numerical sequence of assembly
Not 100% sure on these, but looking at another tag I am guessing on some:
52 = Dallas District Code
K840 = This is F800 diesel, GVWR 23,100lbs, so that's not right.
K84C = F800 diesel, 30,100lbs GVWR, or K84D, 31,000lbs GVWR are the only other two that fall into the GVWR as indicated earlier in the class of truck.
8 = Possibly part of the body code, possibly indicating standard cab.
HBN
HB = Eaton model 22221 two speed rear axle, 22,000lbs capacity, 5.57/7.60 ratios
N = Ford 9.000lb capacity front axle with power steering. (So either K84C or K84D are still possible)
SK = Spicer model CM5552A five speed transmission.
If something doesn't match up, let me know and I will double check.
