Glove box decal

Hi all,

Relatively new to the site, so even though I did a search I may have done it wrong.

47 Ford 1/2 ton, would like a re-pop of the decal that goes on the glove box door, that also has the VIN of the truck on it.

Does anyone sell this item?

Thanks in advance for any help.

JD

I don't believe I have ever seen anybody reproduce these plates. Its not a decal, its a metal plate with the numbers stamped on it.

Yes, your right, a metal tag. Thought that would be a popular item to have updated.

Ok, another question, I hope can lead me on the right path.
My truck came with turn signals, I am guessing the original owner had these installed when he bought the truck, as they look like a clean install. Pic below of what I have now.

Can anyone direct me to a source who might sell these, or at least maybe reproductions of them? I'd like to keep appearance of the truck as stock as possible.

Thanks again in advance, john

If you want to keep it as stock looking as possible, why not get rid of the aftermarket lights altogether and just rewire the originals to act as turn signals as well as marker lights - that's what I did on mine. IMHO It looks way better than the cobbled on aftermarket lights I usually see - although I will admit - your "extra" lights are one of the nicer installations I've seen. Just thinking out loud.

if you want a stock look then lower lights need to go. you can convert the parking lights to turn signals easily. Replace the socket with one for double filament bulb, available at an auto parts store.

Thanks for the replies.
I was thinking these were installed when the truck was first purchased and installed by the dealer. If so then it would be still be considered stock.
Was hoping someone may have a accessories pamphlet from way back that might show the actual lights and turn signal switch.
It is a pretty clean install.
