Hi guys. I just bought a 78 bronco to fix up so im new to ford trucks, but I can't find a vin plate my buddy said these old trucks did not come with a metro tag like my trans am did. So is there a metel tag anywhere. All I have is a sticker on the door jam above the striker and a metel plate glues to a card in glovebox.

 

The matal plate you found was on the drivers door origionally, that is your vin tag. Someone probably replaced the door at one time & thankfully saved the tag for you.

 

Ok so this tag was glued on to the door or how does it attach. There is no holes in the tag to rivited it but there is glue on back of tag and matches the card in glove box. But there is two holes on the drivers door. Door looks org. Truck is blue and so is door kinder weather strip. Im lost but I just need to know in case I get stopped by police I don't want to have any problems.
