2014 F150 3.5 ecoboost. 220k km. Fired it up and noticed that the speed of the fan didn’t correlate with the position of the switch. Turning the switch did nothing to change the speed of the blower. Went to turn off the power at the console and to my surprise, the blower stayed on and went to a higher speed. Turning off the ignition stopped the fan.
I have replaced the resistor twice already and changed the plug once, with the fix working temporarily. However, the same issue returns in a couple weeks.
Has anyone seen this before? Am I looking at trying to find a controller??
