'61-'63 Cabs are the same, F100-F600 at least, 2wd & 4wd... In '64 the roof got taller by about an inch I think, and has the slight depression at the center... So '64-'66 are the same. '61-'64 has the same floor. '61-'66 4wd have the same floor. '65-'66 2wd are the same. So for an exact match you need a '61-'63 cab for your '61, but some '64 and newer will fit.

**And F350 has the battery UNDER the floor, while F100/F250 have the battery under the hood.
So your best bet is either a donor F350, or a cab from a heavier truck
And if you are concerned about correctness, then you are limited to 1961 thru 1963, as the '64 or newer cabs have a different roof.

Thank you james western canada thats what I needed. Now it triggers one more question? was a custom cab offered on a 61 f 350 ? Were the body side mouldings part of that package ?

Yes , I spoke to the owner . Looks like its rough by the photos. I may look at it tomorrow as I am in the area . Thanks for that tip btw. I am looking for a cab that I dont have to do any panel patches, so the f3 thru f6 is probably my best option, and I have seen prices in the 700 dollar and up range.

Update . looked at the cab listed on craigslist . Rusted out in cab corners, floor , hood etc , the search continues . Lots of those trucks around , so I am confident one can be located. Front Fenders may be a challenge also, given the f 350 size , so searching for those also. Thanks for your help , all.
