I guess im just full of questions . Is it possible to buy a body bolt kit for a 61 truck ? Also what is the best wiring harness kit to buy if I want to retain stock components ? I will reuse the yblock as well as 4speed trans. The y block may get headers and a dress up kit if I could find something appropriate, for the 61 model year . Thanks in advance for your help all.

Yes there is a place to buy a bolt kit for your truck. Totally stainless has the bolt kit you are looking for. I bought one from them for the unibody I'm currently restoring.
As far as your Y Block needs, go to FORD Y One stop shopping there.... John Mummert is the Y Block man. For stock wiring, Dennis Carpenter reproduces it. Pretty spendy but it looks correct. I have purchased some of the smaller looms and plan to buy the main harness when the time comes. Other places like Mac's and CJ Pony Parts sell it as well. Same products, some times the prices vary so check around.
Just when I think im making headway ..... another important question Does the 61 f350 require f250 front fenders ? Does it require f 350 only ? Or F 550 and up ? Im going to use a flatbed so I will not need rears. Thank you !!!
Bucks5050,
I have a '61 Ford F10 4x4 with battery box in the floor.
A couple of years back I swore to my wife "I'm missing one of my good batteries" and had zero luck finding it.
Well, as I was snooping around cleaning spider webs off of my '61, i decided to pull the battery cover.
Yep, there sat the 'missing' battery from my search a few years back. dag-nabbit, it has sat discharged for too long, and is expired.
My '61 4x4 conversion was done by "Lambert Co. Ltd." in Los Angeles june 8, 1961. kinda cool.
Above photo was taken on Hwy 36 between the Pacific Coast and the Sacramento Valley.
It does have a 292 Y-block V-8 w/ 2bbl, a 4-speed w/ granny gear, and divorced T-case.
The PTO winches are bullish for pulling.
The front clip is from a '66 nearest I can figure.
So, are my front fenders the standard F100 radius openings ? and not the F3 to F6 openings ?
Ok I see that the big trucks are flared out . Thank you Im going to have my work cut out locating the f 350 specific items . I did locate a nice f350 donor truck but is over 3 k and I think thats alot for a parts truck. More searching will be required . Thanks all for your input . Looking forward to the dirt and grease of this project.
On my 62 F100 I unwittingly made my stock 36" front fenders into 45's with a 4.5" angle grinder trying to make room for bigger tires. Just cut on the dotted line.
