I was just wondering if people woul share some insight as to how they fixed the rust problem on their tailgate. I have to fix mine and it's rusted from one end to the other
Well, in my opinion, you should either go to the junkyard or shell out a few hundred bucks for a new gate, or a shell. The shell comes cheaper(anywhere from $200 to $400), but you'll have to transfer all the hardware, glass ext...
If you want to keep the same tailgate you've got, good old fiber glass and bondo is what I did to my old one. But for my "new" 90, I immediately sanded primed, and put roll one bed liner on to the bottom of the tailgate. With hope this should stop (or at least slow) that awful problem we all have. Hope some of this could help.
