2018 Explorer - New Battery, door locks won't work
I put a new battery in wife's 2018 Explorer (V-6, not ecoboost) and now she says some functions don't work, like the door lock buttons on the door panels. I think maybe a few other things but not sure. Is there some type of reprogramming needed after switching a battery.
I have a 2018 F150 2.7L Ecoboost and pretty sure it will need a new battery soon.

I've swapped out batteries in two 2019 Explorers (one is the v6 and the other the turbo) and never had that issue.
May just be a coincidence that it happened when you changed the battery.
if it were me......I'd connect the old battery back up just to see if there's any change.
if there is no change, then stick the new battery back on and check the fuses.
Also.....knowing how my wife is, before doing anything, I'd double check the issues that she says she's having just to make sure that something really is wrong.....

Here's some more explicit details of the issue:
The power locks will operate when using the key fob; however, the door switches will not work (lock or unlock). I haven't checked for a blown fuse because the power locks will work with the key fob.
I guess it's possible but seems odd that both door switches would fail at the same time.
Also, I cannot hook up the old battery to check it as it was returned for the disposal fee refund. As a side note, I recently put a new battery in my 2018 F150 and have no issues with it.
