We got the letter for our 2016 Ecoboost and we did have the symptoms it described. We brought it into the dealer, and they re-flashed it for the fix. That only lasted a month, then it got much worse. I brought it into the dealer again, and they determined that the torque convertor was now bad. Well.... it's on National backorder. Has been for 2 1/2 months! Anyone else have an issue with theirs?

 

After a 3 month wait, we have a new torque convertor installed free of charge. The transmission wasn't affected. It came with a 12 month warranty, which is nice! We are now out of warranty on the vehicle itself....

 

I'm pretty sure mine in my 2017 Explorer Sport is bad as well. It has all the symptoms and I feel it on long road trips. What is the recall/tsb number?

 

Sorry I'm just getting back to you on this. I'm not sure of the recall number, but I DO know you are still under warranty right now, but only until January 1st. I'd get it checked out NOW
