Does anyone have photos of the AutoMeter panel in their truck with gauges??
I was considering getting one, but the Ford instruments are tilted up toward the driver, and this panel seems to leave the gauges up straight, making them, it would seem, more awkward to read at a glance. https://www.autometer.com/direct-fit...100-73-79.html
In the past I have had to purchase the offset ring that mounts between the gauge and dash so you can 'aim' it one way, but having to buy one for 6 gauges?? That's B.S.! You'd think a little better design out of AutoMeter??? ...corners cut...
Search in facebook in the 73-79 ford group. There are some guys 3D printing all kinds of stuff for the 73-79. They just came out with an A pillar gauge pod, 2 and 3 gauge. Looks nice.
Wow! Great feedback, guys. Thanks a ton. I see one panel that is tilted back so the gauges are easily read. Now I just need to see if I can buy one w/o the gauges.
The panel that Auto Meter sells is the same as the one Classic Dash sells. Classic Dash gives AC vent or no AC vent option. They lean the gauges at about the same angle as stock. I installed one for a friend. They're stupid overpriced, but what are ya gonna do? I plan to install one in my truck.
