Later model front clip

I see some EX's have been modified to a later model front end / clip. Few questions ..... What years fit? (07-12?) What is the app cost to buy a used clip that fits in good condition? Fenders, cowling, and hood forward or does it go father back? Sheet metal only or need some of the suspension ? Thanks (answer any of the 4 questions or just 1 or 2 )

ROSPAW,
You can buy the whole front clip and cut and weld. I'm not that proficient yet. I have a 2000 ex and chose the To use the McNasty bracket kit. You can do the 08-10 or 11-16 look. I took the hood, fenders, grill, bumper off. Had to cut out the metal so new headlights would fit but there is an overlay that makes it easy. There are people on craigslist selling fleet front ends for 2k or I used car-parts.com and searched salvage yards for cheaper prices. Directions also tell you to cut the top half of the frame I bracket so the lower grill support and bumper fit. I went with aftermarket bumpers do I had to fab some brackets. So my cost was mc nasty kit $374 +1500 for fender, hood, grille, lights, bumper+ 200 for upper and lower grill support for a total of $2,074 over a weekend.

Have any pictures of the job? That seems cheap for the parts to me in my area. I'm seeing 3k plus for a 08-10 front clips off work trucks. Wonder how close the whites are for those years ro the 2000 ex white? Having a ex painted around here is a small fortune using good paint products.

Front clip

Looking back, The aftermarket OEM fenders were cheaper online, a cervinis hood is roughly 700 unpainted, so that is a grand right there. Depending if you wanted to stay stock on lights, grill and bumper it would be cheaper than the 3k your seeing. The average quotes I got for a good paint job was 10k. I found Raptor UPOL in Asia that shows how to spray entire vehicle and make it look smooth. So I’m gonna do entire truck in either OD green or black. And that will be a fraction of the cost to paint..

If there was someone out here local who did these i would strongly consider it, but i already did some calling, and cant seem to find anyone who thinks they can do it properly, or has the cajones to try it, and i just dont have the time or ability to do it myself, i grew up turning wrenches on my Mustangs, making them faster and faster, now i work a lot, and have a back injury that no longer permits me much time under any vehicle, even a lifted truck.

I have the money to do it, but i would have to pay someone. Maybe someday if someone around here decides to be willing.

I can’t stand the new front end with the big fender flares and the rear left stock. If you’re going to do it, do the rear too! Just my opinion...
