Saw my first '08 yesterday at the grocery store. Big factory lift and lots of goodies. I wanted to turn around and go back for a closer look but mama wanted to get home.
My friend has a new '08 F350. I haven't looked at the frame to see if the core support and other mounting points are the same. Will have to check that out. The steering column is totally different and he wants me to figure out how to disable the key/door chime. All the coolers are mounted in front of the core support, making the them readily accessible since the grill raises up with the hood.
If its possible Im gonna either upgrade or remount my stuff to open forward like a bid truck. Alot of people say they are ugly, look at a dodge then back at the ford. hmmm Still easier on the eyes.

Do an F-650 front end... tilt's forward, looks like a big truck, would really be sick an F-350 DRW!
The 08 swap WILL NOT WORK. Differant core support, frame is lower (to eleminate the "crash"bar) side supports are differant. IC piping would have to be cut out as it runs differant. I just helped the boys at Elite Diesel pull one a few days ago. The whole front is differant.

yeah, from what i read in a diesel power mag a few months ago, the whole front frame is different, i think the frame rails are spred further apart and are lower(safty reasons) and there is more core support all around behind the radiator. you would have to do alot of work to get it, and spend alot just to get the parts since no ones prolley even got an aftermarket for them yet.

Oh man is the IC piping pinched or what as it passes through all that crap in the front? Gets squeezed down to about an inch - looks like the OBS trucks' stock exhaust downpipe.
