So I am going to be doing a 4wd conversion with a RSK and I’m looking for SD front leafs but I can seem to find what the front coil springs are rated for on my truck so as to match the spring weights.
I figure anything 99-04 with a diesel “should” be good, as far as I can find 3/4 to 1 ton doesn’t make a difference on the front springs?
I think @Edgethis has X codes up front on his mega cab dually. I would think a V code or X code would probably be what you want. No first had experience though
They rated them based off packages like snow plow prep and such, there wasn't really as well defined a chart as for the rears.
I had V codes up front and they're probably great for a non megacab. They started to get a negative arch on me after awhile. I have them floating around somewhere.
I now run custom extra arched X codes to handle the weight of the cab and my bumper. ATS springs made them and sent them out to me. Super great company.
Most people run a u or v code front spring. Just depends on how much weight you have up front.
