i thought i had x springs on my 02 f250 v10 which i believe are rated 6000lbs?
but then i saw this on the ford website...what gives?? how can i tell if i have x springs? my gawr says 5200 lbs front, but my spring code is "XA"and my truck sits higher for sure.

99-04 f-250 and 350 snow plow springs are 6000lbs. just check your door sill sticker and look for the front groww weight. if its 6k you have them if its not then you dont

 

well thats the odd thing...front gawr is 5200lbs according to the door sticker, but the spring code is "xa"? and i think xsprings are 6k and my truck is def higher in the front than trucks that dont have it.

The numbers are stamped on the springs (or at least mine were) for some oem replacement springs I had bought. I purchased new take offs which were stamped on the front leaf spring 2C34-5310-ADB, which shows they are V springs , 5,200 lb.
