Maples, most after market mirror heads for our vans have 2 or 3 screws on the bottom of the mirror head where the ball stud comes out. Did you tighten those screws?

Not yet, I can't drive it so I haven't seen it, dad's got it, I didn't think it would be necessary right out of the box, not impressed with them, I fear messing with the screws may strip them.
