Good morning y'all!

Has anyone had any experience with different exhaust systems on the 7.3? Ive been looking at the aFe Apollo (https://www.americantrucks.com/afe-s...43116nm-b.html) through American trucks.com. anyone have any experience with aFe? is it a good brand? worth the price? I have used MBRP on mustangs so I was looking at going back to them but also wanted opinions on other brands, thanks!

 

I just installed a Heartthrob cat-back on my 7.3L. It sounds fantastic. I am installing a resonator tomorrow. It had a drone between 1650 and 2000 RPM that was a little more than I wanted. The exhaust note is amazing though. I tried posting a sound clip but it didn’t work. If you have an iPhone I can text it to you.

i got the audio clip to play .. wow sounds good! had my speaker on way too loud made me jump lol .. but i can see where it would drone at freeway speeds. did you re install the resonator yet ?

 

I have the Magnaflow catback on my '21. Spendy but I really like it. Its mellow so it doesn't drone in the cab, even when towing. It has decent volume under full throttle though.

 

Just had the MBRP resonator installed today. It changed the tone a little, but sounds great still. Took the drone almost completely away. I just need to install an exhaust tip to bring the tail pipe out past the fender. The exhaust guy said that should eliminate it all.

 

Are yall having any popping noises on deceleration? I have them constantly with my exhaust setup

 

Had a MBRP on my '20, took it off in less than a week, droned terribly.

 

Drone i can handle. The popping noise i can not. I just dont get it. Several videos of people with no resonators, flow through mufflers, and no mention of a pop noise. smh
