I have a toggle switch on my dash below the gauges between the choke and the headlight ****. It's not connected to anything currently, and I have no idea what it was ever used for. I see in my little manual that there was originally a "hand throttle ****" in this location? Is that what would have been there on my '52 Merc? Where would I find a replacement **** to fill the hole with? Or a suggestion on something else to install there? Not an extreme purist by any means, but I'd rather something factory in appearance that an unused toggle switch.
Mid-Fifty sells throttle ***** and cables. They are not very expensive, and a hand throttle sometimes comes in handy. You'll need a little hardware on the engine--which may or may not be still be there. The parts for connecting the cable are a little harder to come by--but not impossible to find. Good luck.
