I guess the thing is interest rates are going up leaps on the theory of inflation when there is little production, shortages everywhere and the reason of price increases are obvious. Nothing to buy. I looked at a Toyota Camray hybrid and saw 3 1/2 % interest and said not now. So now the world heads to a Recession most likely its here already. I'm sure most all of us are in price / sales slip shock everywhere we go. I mean $22 for a T-Bone at the market !
Wonder if the old Carburetor / engine fuel pump motor is gonna be the next sales sensation ? The Retro Buggy with rust !.......... who needs to go anywhere, nothing there !
Mechanically, there shouldnt be a whole lot of difference between this 2.7L and the 2.7L in the F150 or the Lincoln cars. So what gives?
To the Wrangler 4xE, they are interesting to drive because they lack a torque converter, it feels like you are trying to get going in like 4th gear all the time. A few have had to have the Samsung battery pack replaced. You really only get a few miles worth of EV travel.
My knowledge of engines says (High) prolonged (RPMS) and dropped valves. (Missing a shift on a 4 speed in the 70's would break them too !)
I put a Long duration Camshaft, dual exhaust, hump back heads, Offenhauser high rise manifolds on my Blazer Back when for off roading. But that
wasn't a dual overhead cam turbo'd motor either. More than likely its a defect in some engine valve trains parts on a specific run. Maybe Bronco calls for different valves in the motors. OEM's don't always make items of every unit exactly the same, maybe some Suttle changes for the Bronco's ? Torque needs etc. I can guess knowing the motors numbers would yeild some info from Ford as to its run. Maybe torque convertor problems cause it ?
My first notion is a Cowboy wants a Bronco and into the Wild he goes with it.
