O2 Sensor replacement

So the other day i decided to replace my O2 sensor. But I can't get the thing off. My haynes manual says to warm up thetruck for 2 minutes, then get under there. I let it run for about 3-4 minutes, but couldn't even budge the nut. Would it hurt anything to spray on some WD40, since I'm replaceing the sensor anyway. Also, how does the electrical connection come off? any help appreciated.

a small pipe wrench works well ,also you can cut the wires and use a 6 point socket .a small screwdriver is usually a good aid in separating the plug . a piece of pipe slid over the handle of the wrench , for more leverage, is sometimes a good thing, bob

WD-40 won't hurt anything, also put never- sieze on the new one. Sometimes they don't come with any. Good luck.

I prefer a true penetrationg oil such as liquid wrench or PB Blaster. It can make a big difference in instances like this where it is stuck tight.
