The thing about lights..... the lower they are towards the road, the less light they put ON the road. Roof-top lights do a fantastic job of lighting the road but they look ridiculous. It's a choice of functionality, requirement and aesthetics for every location.
Mine work fine below the bumper. No complaints at all.....
Here is what my 2022 looks like. The wife only agrees to an in-grille light. She vetoed anything under, on or in front of the grille/bumper. The RC in-grille lights don't match up to anything on my grille. Any thoughts?
I couldn’t give a rat’s *** what my wife thinks about what I do and don’t do to MY truck. Odd that you guys are using your wife as an excuse for your actions. Grow a pair already 😆

Reason: Punctuation
Installed the RC light kit for the Super Duty this weekend. The install took about 3 hours, not real difficult, just time consuming. The kit is really clean and fits well. Only had to trim a small notch in the corners.
those are awesome... looking at a set myself... are these really bright enough for highway driving ? Trying to get an honest review of them....
When my truck finally arrives I want to do something very similar to this one pictured below. Light bar tucked into the bumper and the grill light bars. The grill light bars are more astetic than anything. Don't believe they actually put off that much light. Would have to change my grill out to do ones similar to these as I have a Lariat on the way.

This is a Platinum grill they're installed on here if im not mistaken. Im assuming it'll be tough to track down, that or come with a hefty price. The light bars are inserted between the bars on the grill I believe. They would also look good on the last pictured grill. Not sure how they would work on the Lariat grill. The kit and the grill before install are the first two pictures.
When I sold my '18 F350, I had the Rough Country lights, part #70697; https://www.roughcountry.com/ford-8i...c.html#280=535 in the slotted portion of my grill. Since I sold my vehicle to my local dealer, they didn't care if I removed the lights, so I did. I have a great local shop that came up with I thought was a great incognito mounting point the bottom and inside of my grill. Maybe it's not the most efficient use or location of the lights, but it was a cost effective, to me good looking location to mount them, and a decent amount of additional lighting.

They flood more than spot. I would say it’s like supercharging your factory Brights. I’m happy with them so far. If you’re looking for distance, may not be the best option. They will light up a WIDE pattern and give you a lot more visual to the sides of you’re truck too.
I decided to go with Rigids RDS-SR pro 40” curved bar. Notched out some of the grille for a more flush set on homemade sheet metal brackets. Brackets that came with it wouldn’t have fully secured it to the grille. Was worried about possibility of vibrations from our roads mounted to the grille, but it’s holding up good and our gravel roads/pot holes don’t effect light output.

The way this is mounted concerns me. It doesn’t seem like it would take much for somebody to come up and unbolt that $1k + light bar in under a minute.
