Excellent suggestion, but watch out for a major gotcha. Passing the continuity test is not conclusive and doesn't guarantee a plug wire is good.

The strength of the insulation is just as important as continuity of the conductor. When the insulation breaks down, the spark can short to ground before ever reaching the spark plug, causing a misfire.The insulation can look fine but still fail, so don't go on a visual inspection alone. Of course, any visible cracks or other damage is cause for rejection.

The best way to test the insulation is to run the engine and coat the plug wires with a mist of water from a spray bottle. If the insulation is marginal, the water makes it worse and the engine will stumble.

This is best done when dark as you can see the sparks better.
