I'm looking at updating the tunes on my truck as I am in the process of making some substantial changes to the motor. I was curious who you would recommend that could write some good custom tunes for a truck with the G Men juice removed? After reading quite a few stories I would rather not buy from one of these online websites that I don't know jack about. I am located in Southern Wisconsin but am not afraid of a drive. Right now I have a H&S and I'm aware that you can't get new tunes written for that platform anymore so I do plan on switching platforms when the time comes.
I think you are going to need to find a tune writer that is doing it underground. The EPA is cracking down big time on the makers of the tuners and the tune writers.
EZ Lynk is, IMO, probably the best platform for tunes but you are going to be limited by whoever you can find. Getting the tunes you are looking for might be a bit harder. You are going to have to ask around locally for someone who can upload the tunes. You will not find anyone who writes the tunes, EPA targets them. Also, lead time might be a problem so make sure you let the person know all the mods you have done so the tune can be adjusted accordingly.
I know I might be replying a little late here, but in theory I could get the tunes done in Canada by a company from Canada and run those tunes on my truck. Am I right or wrong in thinking this...... since from the research I've done it would appear those people in Canada still offer emissions off tuning?
Can you delete the shop name please? You are putting them at risk of major federal lawsuits and fines.
I would ask the same as well. I know what my thoughts would be if I saw my business name on a public forum in that matter. PM me if you'd like to mention any specific shop names please
