Painted my floor patch panels and areas around my bed bolts with POR 15. Rust-Oleum wasn't holding up in the driver's side floor.

Put a shiny ccv merbob on my engine. Basically a pcv for diesels.

Got to use a new worklight. Super bright and folds up for easy carrying

Talking

I finally got my dash rebuilt and installed back in the truck, just have a little left to do on the interior and then starting on the engine.

This is what I started with.

This is what I put back in Yesterday!

Very nice work! How hard was the install?

The install was not to bad, it helps a lot to have two sets of hands though. It was much harder fixing the dash and getting it painted than it was putting it back in.

Nice, I spent a lot of time rubbing the green paint off of my dash gauges and putting in blue LEDs. I will try and get a picture of that soon, working on the motor now that I got the dash in. The person that had it before me tried deleting the smog system and really went overboard with the delete button. He had the fuel purge solenoid removed and had the line for it plugged into the coolant outlet on the throttle body, the bottom throttle body coolant nipple was sealed off with a hose and a wooden dowel. And the main vacuum hose for the cruise control was plugged onto the throttle body nipple where the fuel purge solenoid was supposed to go. I have a lot of work ahead of me lol.

Attempted to find the AC leak in my 96. Not sure if I made it better or worse. Going to pick up a sniffer today at lunch and charge the thing tonight and see what I can find. It at least has aa few new O-rings in it now and shrader valves. Bleeds down to -10 pretty quick and held a -5 all night. got a feeling it's either the high pressure side hose or the compressor but even the dye I put in it last year isn't helping things.

Swapped a factory tach cluster (kept original speedometer) and add a gauge pod under the dash. Used 65 lumen LED bulbs. I like how it came out.

Checked the transmission fluid in my M5ODR2. It was a pint low. I like to keep an eye on it.
This is a good tool for adding fluid.

Popped the passenger rear wheel off and gave my new needle scaler a try on the section of frame rail. Probably hard to tell from the photo, but it knocked the scale completely off. Took about 30 minutes for the area shown. When the bed comes off in a couple weeks and I strip down the rear of the truck I'll do the entire frame. Pretty damn happy with it.

New to me 1996 F250 4x4, new tires today

I got this truck on May 4, 2024 from a private party, 5.8 with ZF5 and 3.55 limited slip (need to verify axle tag) with 165,000 miles. The tires that came with this truck are Toyo A/T, I could see the top of the head for the penny while doing the tread test. I am at Discount Tire and having them install new Pathfinder A/T tires today.

Since on my 1991 F250 I had bought the replacement certificates for the Pathfinder HSR tires but I didn't have any tire issues in the 14k miles I drove (before my truck was a total loss), I decided not to get the replacement certificates for these new tires, even though I have the option to add them later, I believe.

An overall view of passenger side, of the 1996 F250 4x4 that I bought on 05/04/24.

Toyo A/T that originally came with the truck when I bought it the other day.

Finally got around to (badly) cutting a plexiglass replacement window for the camper shell I got a few months ago. Pushed the shell forward on the bed so it sits better now, and started wiring up the shell's third brake light. Plan is to also wire the shell for power.
