Just driving along hit a little bump and the truck died ? started right back up a couple of times, then didn't , had to get towed home , charging batteries now!
Thinking i have a bad ground somewhere , help me find them asap!
I am actually going out of town for a few days, so will have to deal with this on sunday as i need the truck for work on monday LOL
42 pin connector over the valve cover, battery terminals, if you have a 2002+ there is a positive power block under the air box.
Fuse for the PCM tight?
Fuel pressure?
Oil level?
Sensor connectors secure?
Etc...

I had the same thing happen getting off the interstate. I happened to catch that the WTS light wasn’t coming on…I put a new fuse in and was back on the road. During the drive it occurred to me that I was able to pull the fuse without a puller. Turned out the fuse was loose in the socket. Just something to consider besides the obvious things….

I agree the easy stuff 1st , I am sure it’s something simple just in the way it happened I did push the hydra to check for play felt none, wife and I heading out to Denver , her 1st outing since getting her knee replaced, so I will deal with it when I get back don’t want to put a damper on her need to get out!

That is a solid and well thought-out plan sir. Good to hear your wife seems to be doing well after her recent procedure. The truck is just a truck, the relationship and your time with your wife is irreplaceable.
About 2 years ago I had a symptom where the Hydra chip was securely installed for a few years and then turned out to be just loose enough during a "tooth shattering" pot hole while towing heavy east of Knoxville TN on our way home from the Great Smoky Mountains NP. I reinforced the chip with some semi-rigid foam and more securely fastened VHB tape. I used the old method to install the chip which was to cut a decent sized hole in the back of the black case.
If that didn't work, I was going to order a new case from RiffRaff and simply replace the cut one. No big deal as it has been holding well for a while now and about 7,000 miles of traveling.
Keep us updated, but more importantly, have a good, safe and memorable trip!
Correct me if I'm wrong here guys but I thought I remembered a thread a while back that had the same symptoms as listor and it was a loose tinnerman nut on the IPR? I think the fella in the other thread said it happened when he went over railroad tracks or a pot hole. Worth checking anyways

I do have a new unit i may change out
You probably are already aware of this but a 1/2-20 unf skinny nut is much more sturdy than the "tin" nut on the ipr if your interested in changing it out. .25 cents for a peice of mind is well worth it! Hope it's as easy as the ipr nut for ya!

That's not a bad idea while i have the new one out
Check the fuel safety switch reset in the passenger footwell area too. I didn’t know about that until I started tearing Into the truck to do some noise proofing.
alright got a set of AGM's 84 coming to my local Napa , going to go out and poke around till they get here,. I notice i have a large oil spot under there too!
Ok new batteries are in truck started right up, after about a minute is died like i turned off the key,
checked codes once that happened found it's not reading the pcm?
Ipr is good, tinnerman nut is in place and tight, icp looks good pulled the connector all is clean and dry
what i did notice is that as i was moving wires arounf, the pcm harness seems to have an issue, of course i have had this thing in and out half a dozen times over the past few months, could i have bent a pin, possibly a burnt connection? I will find out, stay tuned for my favorite part of HOLD MY BEER WHILE I HIT THE HIGH DIVE!
