Angry PFFFTT...

I saw a new Bronco 4 door in black the other day. What a buzz kill. Ford really dropped the ball on that one in my opinion. They would have had something if they went with the Silver prototype first introduced.
Very disappointed.
OK, let the beating begin, I can handle it.

Not really super duty related...
But I don't care for the new Bronco either. I think it's neat and all, but it isn't what I had envisioned. Too big to be a "little bronco", too small to be a "full size bronco".

Nope, never have figured out why everyone has been so ga-ga over them.
I have no desire at all to own one.

I have a 2017 Jeep Wrangler and love it. The Bronco was made to go head-to-head with the Wrangler. I have seen a few on the street but have not seen one up close. But from the videos I have seen I think they more than hit their target market. Especially since you can order the "Rubicon" style off-road package on any model rather than going all the way to the top model like Jeep.

If I was in the market for another Jeep, I would look at the Bronco. The main thing that would hold me back are the turbo motors. I want to see how they hold up in low speed, high temp 4-wheeling. Say what you will about Jeep, but people beat the crap out of those off road and they come back for more. Will the turbo motors handle that? I don't know. Obviously most will never see that kind of duty, but I know many will.

The really interesting ones are the special models. A base model is nothing to get excited about.

The Jeep Gladiator can be configured to look really blah. The upgrade/offroad packages are what make it look cool.

I'm sure you didn't do what I did and see a Bronco Sport and think wait, what. I realized later that was the baby Bronco and the "good" one was the Bronco.

This! I was so disappointed when I saw the sport, before realizing my error. I have yet to see a full size one in real life, so I am holding judgement until I do so.

They are horrible and don't deserve the name Bronco. Grocery getters. The 2 door off road style is cool but looks like a toy.

Have seen a few now, including one that was delivered to an acquaintance this past Saturday. Sasquatch package on a base model. It is damn nice looking and as mentioned above, hits the target market perfectly. If you own a Jeep, you will take a hard look at the Bronco for sure. Just the power alone will make you take notice.

So far the new Bronco isn't there yet. I had an original Bronco with a 289 in Alaska and on the rocks in Southern Ca. If it had a Coyote V8 and 1ton axles like my JK I would be excited. My 2020 SD w/7.3 really gets me excited.

68 Bronco in Alaska in 70

68 Bronco

2015 Jeep on 1 tons

2020 F250 7.3 w/Tremor Parts

My wife has wanted a Jeep forever. I tried pushing the Bronco because I would MUCH rather have a Ford product than a Jeep. Problem is Ford screwed up the introduction so bad we couldn't even go look at one when the time came to change out her vehicle. They are just now trickling in and orders are backed up so bad they make super duty's look readily available. I can't get the V6 with a manual, can't get the off road package with a manual, so I can't get a Bronco how I would want it period. I had to give up and buy her the Jeep... Then Jeep came through with an ordered vehicle in six weeks, order to delivery. Took me longer than that to get a VIN on my super duty and I wont have my new Ford for 16+ weeks after ordering. Ford really needs to get their act together on multiple levels if you ask me.

There’s absolutely no reason why it would take over 6 weeks to get a VIN on a Super Duty, other than your dealer either dropping the ball, or not having any allocation.

Well, I placed the order July 3, received the email the same day from Ford confirming. I was scheduled and received my VIN Aug 12 for a Sept 27 build week. I drove 100 miles to a busier dealer to place my order. Their rep is pushing them to order order order. My salesman alone has 47 vehicles on order currently. They have more salespeople than new vehicles for sale. I bet I can find you a pile of posts where it took this long.

There is no reason for any of it as far as I am concerned. The system is broken, my STX truck will be a solid four months order till delivery. That just plain sucks, as I have said many times on this forum now. There is ZERO recourse for a customer though. Order and wait. Ford is stonewalling dealers and customers. The truck better damn well be worth the wait. The delivery date is going to put a pretty good squeeze on me to get it ready for snow season. Ford simply doesn't care.

I'm not sure if you are talking about the same silver protype Bronco that I have seen, but in my opinion it looked horrible. I have no plans to buy a Bronco but I like what they came out with(not the Sport), would have preferred a solid axle..

Some of this Bronco talk and general inefficiencies (deficiencies?) on Ford's part lately reminded me of this video I watched the other day.

Fords quality has been really down lately and I could only imagine the death wobble problems if Ford went with a solid front axle. Having said that the next gen Ranger will be based on the Bronco's platform and you know they wouldn't put a solid axle on them so the IFS got the green light.

Bill Ford - Rome is burning so what are you going to do about it?
