I saw one of the new Full size broncos at the dealer and it didn’t really do much for me. My wife drives a JL wrangler Rubicon 4 door and I feel like the bronco didn’t seem to match up in the looks / fit and finish. This is the one at the dealer and wasn’t impressed at all for the price point on the window sticker.

The soft tops seem to fit like crap, I have not seen one yet without a bunch of gathering over the rear windows. I like the looks in Rapid Red, but I love Rapid Red... I would take it over the Wrangler for interior space if nothing else, the Wrangler is very narrow inside and my knee is against the door lock switches. Wrangler seats are also too short in the thigh for me and feel like you are sitting on them not in them. For me the Bronco is appealing over the Wrangler for several reasons. For my tiny wife, she loves her Jeep and didn't care for the Bronco when we looked at it sitting on the dealers floor recently.
If Ford can ever get its act together and start getting vehicles built again, they will sell a ton of these.
i like the look of the new broncos. part of it for me is that every wrangler looks the same in my area. Those dumb grumper and eyelids look stupid. The issue I also have is the wranglers always seem cramped when ever I've been in one.
One of my customers has a new Bronco. It doesn't do anything for me at all. The first one I saw was a Sport when I dropped the 550 off for service & I almost threw up in my mouth. We bought a new Jeep last year. It took about 6 weeks from order to delivery. It doesn't do a lot for me either. It's fun to drive around town. It turns sharp & is easy to park. Wifey uses it all the time to transport the grandkids around. We use it on the weekends around town. It beats getting the other car's sides beat up in the parking lots. It has the powered top, kind of a cross between the soft top & hard top & it's pretty noisy. If we were to ever take it on a long trip it would be in the trailer behind my Super Duty. I'm sure the new Bronco would be comparable. But, we're old and boring. We bought a SXS for offroading. If it ever comes in..... Just my .02.
Does anybody else think the round wheel wells with those goofy flares were a huge misstep? This has been bugging me since these new Broncos were introduced. The angular squared off style like the original would have really tied the boxiness that they did retain together a bit better.
As an early Land Cuiser fiend, have to say at least they did a better job than Toyota did with that God-forsaken FJ Cruiser.
Saw one at a local Ford dealer also. Just no wow factor for me and I think it will go the way or the FJ cruiser. I am just not seeing a long production run.
A jeep is a jeep.... There are many copies, but none like it. With that said, I loved my 06 LJ. Could go just about anywhere. My 91 bronco, altho a beast, was limited. I would love a 78 bronco. The baby bronco was never a jeep. The reason this new one will sell is the "new cool factor" of a generation that never had or grew up with having a jeep in the household. BTW: lawyers disclaimer.... I will not own a post 2006 jeep. I loved the tub!
The 2.7 and 4.10 gears would definitely get moving fast.
I can catch a 3rd gear scratch in my 2.7/3.73 2wd f150 even with slightly oversized tires.
Havent looked at them much but if you can get that combo in the regular non sasquach (I think they have 33s on the regular one) it would be a pretty fun ride. Plus it can go off road.

out of my 6 jeeps, (I still have 5 of them) not one has been driven over 20 miles at a time. more than that and they are on a trailer or tow bar.
Loved everything I saw about them in videos etc. Saw one the other day at the gas station in the school bus yellow color. Was instantly turned off and not just because of the color.
So far I have only seen one on the road. It's a 4 door, gray body with black wheels. I think it's the same one that was briefly on a nearby dealer lot. Aside from the soft top, which I would not want on any vehicle, it's a cool looking rig.
