Vehicle access removed?

The truck is currently at the dealership and I just got this notification on my Ford app.
all they are doing is oil change, straighten the steering wheel and fix a squeaking passenger mirror.
I didn’t mention any electrical problems to them. So now I’m curious to know if for some reason they flashed the computer?

Did you have a recall for something electrical related? I believe dealers perform recalls even if you haven't asked for it. At least I've had that happen at my dealer.

no in fact I specifically asked the Service rider yesterday and he showed me a print out that shows I have no recalls on the truck.
what’s really bothering me now is I’ve read on one of these posts a couple of weeks ago a guy had his computer flashed for some reason and now he said his truck basically has no *****.

It's likely disabled while they work on the truck...as a safety measure. Remote start won't function with the hood open on my older Buick LaCrosse and I'd imagine that's the same on a newer vehicle too.

that actually makes sense. I’m sure some knucklehead decided to remote start the truck from the app in the middle of an oil change 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Yes, access removed while being serviced.
But, anytime your vehicle is in the dealer for service, they may download an update, not related to any recall.

That's funny right there.

My brother-in-law was bored while on a business trip and remote started his truck that was back home in the garage. Scared the crap out of my sister-in-law who was home at the time.

Wait, your brother-in-law and sister-in-law live in the same house, together?
Close family...

Something like that. I never know how to refer to him. Sister-in-law is my wife's sister.
