pass side mirror
since the subject of mirrors came up it reminded me....on my wifes 00 expy e/b the pass side mirror seems to slide up and i have to push it back down every few weeks....has anybody else had this problem...the whole assembly seems to slide up on the pivot and i have seen it as high as 2-3 inches from flush,but only on the pass side

I have never seen that problem so I have no answers. Just speechless. 
I would not be surprized if the only answer is to replace the entire assembly. Probably $50-75.00 from a bone yard and a lot more from Ford. I suggest that you call LKQ Recyclers as they dismantle a lot of cars and trucks. You might even get the right color.

Mine does that on my '97. I just push it down whenever I notice it. I would be interesting to take one apart and see how it's built, & if there is an easy fix. This is not something I would spend money on.

Find a J/Y in your area that will let you in to look for some parts and find one that is already destroyed to examine and let us know. It would be inertesting to know why this happened.
