I see what you are saying but not 100% sold that it is impact damage. I'd have to compare it to the other side or another like vehicle.

has anyone else had a problem with the mirror housing warping? I took it to Ford and they denied it because they said it was impact damage. as you can see the mirror was not struck and no damage to mirror on bottom mount. it looks like it's rolling up from the corner.
First call the customer assistance center and open a case at the district level so a ford rep has to get involved. If they don't cover it, the file a small claims case. In my experience, Ford will handle instead of sending a rep to small claims court. Also, judges almost always side with the vehicle owner unless it is pretty obvious that it's not a manufacturer problem.

this actually looks like a bind when either swinging the mirrors in our out. I'd bet that the tolerance might have been a little tight and a moving piece caught on a stationary piece and cause the deformity and the very small dimple. In my opinion, this is not due to impact, but due to a binding situation.

I hate resurrecting old threads but I just got denied by Ford for a claim, too. The mirror housing on my 2019 F250 warped in the short time the car's actually been on the road. Ford claims it was due to "external influences" i.e., the sun. How much more of the truck should I expect to have melt on me?
This truck has been so much trouble - between the documented oil leak it was at the dealer to fix when we found the warped housing, the persistent death wobble issues, and now this...
