Driver side front fender. Is this repairable or a whole new panel.

New panel territory. Sure you could try PDR but a new fender is the best route.

The problem with damage like that is that the aluminum stretches a good bit when it bends.
Someone with lots of aluminum body repair experience can probably straighten it out.

Ultimately, for a proper repair, you'll need to replace the fender. Besides, the fender would likely cost less than the labor to just fix that dent/crease. It has to be painted regardless.
I strongly doubt the paintless dent removal guys could fix that.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like an insurance claim is looming.

Once you bend aluminum far enough to create a crease, it will almost always break if/when you attempt to bend it back. Pound for pound, aluminum is stronger than steel, but aluminum has almost zero elasticity. Adding heat is hit or miss even when using temp-sticks because aluminum doesn't change color with heat.

They do just fine with aluminum. My old F150 with an aluminum hood took severe hail damage. They fixed it back good as new including the hood. The truck was gem green metallic, which is a very dark color and imperfections would have been noticeable. Yes, they charge more for aluminum panels but they're not afraid of them.
