How long are they good for?
Looking into trading off my 2019 and ordering a 2021 F250 or 2021 Raptor and was going to start trying to find a PCO to use. My question is how long are they good for? I have been told by a dealer that ordering either of those trucks will take quite some time to come in so I did not know if there was a expiration date on the PCO. If I find one I dont want to waste it.

Yes, they do expire and seem to be good for 2-3-ish months. From what I have learned, the only way to “lock one in” and still use it past it’s expiration date is if you had the PCO on your account when you placed the order.
For example, I placed my order on 5/24 but didn’t get a PCO until 6/1, which expired July 6. Now it’s expired and it cannot be applied to my order, even though I technically placed the order before the expiration date. However, if the PCO had been in my account when placing the order, it would still be good even though it’s actually expired.
So, my suggestion is to start spamming the Ford site now and requesting quotes to try and prompt a PCO, then once you get it, print it off and take it to the dealer when ordering and let them know you already have it and have them “lock it in” with your order.

If you join Mustang Club of America you can get X-plan pricing. X-plan will work on Super Duty but not on Raptor. It saved me about $3600 on my F450 and its only $35 to join. It says you have to be a member for 90 days but when I went to generate my PIN this morning (which is exactly 90 days from when I joined) the Ford site said you had to be a member for 60 days.
I also received a personal offer a few weeks ago for $2500 which I can combine with X-plan. I sort of did what others have suggested, over the past 6-8 months I have built several trucks on the Ford site and submitted my information. I guess it is just luck of the draw.

Not sure on the Raptor, but wouldn't surprise me if their orders are closed too.
Second, you don't just go "find" a PCO, Ford marketing either picks you to receive one or they don't, you have very little control over that.
Dang Ltngdrvr, you come accross and kinda rude. Not sure if you mean that though. Yes I do see where my options for the Super Duty just show the 2022 and thats ok, my mistake. I think everyone that has responded knew what I was thinking. And to your second response...I see you have several posts so you have been on this site for awhile and are active so you have probably come across the same posts that say "I have a PCO if anyone wants it". Right?
Thank you to everyone that has responded, Once I get the PCO I will make sure they lock it in on the order and or I will wait to order until after I aquire the PCO. Great info from all, Thanks again.

Had I done the paperwork and actually bought the truck before the expiration date I could have used mine, but that didn’t happen. He showed me in Smart Vincent that it is now expired and can no longer be used. The only way he could have “locked it in” was if it were in my account when I placed the order… trust me, it doesn’t make any sense to me, but the only folks I’ve talked to that have used expired PCO’s were ones that had the PCO at time of order. Sure, maybe some dealers can work some magic, but I wouldn’t count on it. My only hope now is to score a PCO that is in date whenever my truck shows up and I do the paperwork, which would be the same as yours as being “good at that time.”

I guess I'll find out soon, I just sent one to my salesguy for an order he submitted on 5/3.
If he gives me **** I'll go ask Ford corporate about it. And in the absolute worse case I'll cancel the order and order through Grangerford with their deal instead. Given my truck isn't scheduled 3.5 months later anyways I probably am not delaying myself that much more by doing so.
Just to clarify the previous posts; if someone has a PCO it can only be used by someone living in the same household. The sharing part occurred when someone would get a pop-up to request a PCO. This sometimes happened to those in certain markets while browsing Ford's web site, typically Build and Price or inventory search. In that case a fellow member's information could be entered into the pop-up to get the PCO in their name. It seems that the pop-ups have become a thing of the past.
Probably just lucky but maybe it was creating of a new account that was key.
In the other (or maybe the other other) thread on ECO/PCOs several people posted that they applied it to an order that was already in the system. It has to be applied before the expiration though.

But, if you’re ok canceling your order and going with the deal from Granger, I’d go for it. It’s a guaranteed discount, and they sound like they are going above and beyond and most likely can work some magic because it sounds like they want too. If I didn’t get my VIN last week I would consider it… As far as scheduling, that’s a crap shot, but I would stay away from anything with adaptive steering, but there have been plenty of people that ordered and got scheduled days after… so it may be worth a try.
Either way, good luck with whichever you choose.

In your scenario the answer to the question is easy, they are good until the expiration date shown on the offer. For example, say you get a PCO today, currently they expire 9/30, if you order a truck before that date it will apply to the purchase of that truck regardless of how long it takes to arrive. The Raptor is excluded from every PCO I have seen.
You can read the through 100's of pages on the topic of PCO's and you will find that people have successfully used them in various buying scenarios......but still plenty of inconsistences exist. It's hard to determine if the inconsistences are dealer error, lack of knowledge or just plain laziness, but one thing is for sure, the offer needs to be applied in some manner before the expiration date.
Previously Ford didn't include wording on the offers regarding special orders, but they obviously were applicable, now they do include such wording (Pretty obvious under the current circumstances why they would add that clarity to it) " Place order or take new retail delivery from an authorized Ford or Lincoln Dealer’s stock by 9*/*3*0*/*2*1"

This has not been my experience, and so far I haven't seen anyone comment that they have used an expired PCO on a 22 order that they received *AFTER* placing their order. (I admit I don't know how it worked on pervious years, this has been my first order, thus my first time actually knowing about these things.) The only people I have seen that were able to use expired PCO's were people that already had a PCO on their account when placing their order. Hence the wording: "Place order or take new retail delivery from an authorized Ford or Lincoln Dealer’s stock by 9*/*3*0*/*2*1". This implies that once receiving the PCO you must then either place an order, or take delivery of a new vehicle by the expiration date. In my case, I received the PCO after placing the order, and of course have not taken delivery of my truck yet, so the PCO expired, and it cannot be reapplied...
I'm not sure what part of what I wrote has not been your experience. I never said anything about using an expired PCO under any circumstances. In fact I simply said that it must be applied in some manner before it expires.
Your situation is different than the OP, and I specifically stated that there are inconsistences as to the successful use of these offers. That has been true over the years. But just because your dealer didn't or couldn't(no idea what they told you) apply your PCO after you ordered, doesn't necessarily mean it is not possible (as long as the PCO is not expired). I haven't seen enough feedback from people using a PCO on a 2022 to really make any concrete determination, but if you look through the 100's of pages from past years you will see that it has gone both ways.
Edit- Just wanted to add that I too thought it was as simple as having to apply it at time of order, or have it not be expired at time of delivery, applying it then. But then I read the contrary, where some have applied a PCO that was received after order and delivery came after expiration.
