CarPlay Problem

returning from our trip Sunday the Carplay feature on my iphone quit working. I've never had a problem before but normally when i plug it in CarPlay comes up automatically. Starting Sunday nothing changes on my screen when i plug in my phone. after looking in settings, etc & getting nowhere i thought it must be my cord. today i switched out the cord and nothing changed. next step, i deleted & re added my phone, another problem. now on my truck screen it says that text messaging access is not authorized, to go to my phone to authorize. go to my phone. i see nothing that allows me to authorize my truck to send/receive text messages. anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

I can’t decide if I love to hate car play or hate to love it…

Mine gets befuddled every so often and *normally* deleting it a time or two solves the issue. Forget it in the phone too…

Have you restarted your phone?
Then you could try uninstalling and reinstalling carplay app.

Update - Never mind! The second cord I used was a charge only cord. When I changed back to the original cord everything worked ok. Deleting & adding my phone did the trick!
