In defense of the sales people at the dealership, how many of us does it take to figure out when a truck gets the 3" receiver? The myriad options available on these trucks and the dependent nature of some of the options make for a difficult configuration even when you know what you're doing. Someone at the dealership would have to specialize in just Super Duty trucks to be an authoritative source that gets it right.

Yes but like I was told in the military, you don't have to know every answer but you better know where to find it. Most don't even bother to research.

THIS!!!
When I hire new employees its one of the first things I show them. Where to find our FAQ's, Resources, Information. Its better to say Sir or Mam, I'm not sure on that question but if you please hold I can get someone who knows or I can find the information you need.. or something like that.
I don't want push button start for the simple reason I don't like having things in my pockets when I drive (and I don't wear skinny jeans, never have, never will). I take my wallet out and put it in the cup holder and keys go in the ignition. My wife's car has push button start and it drives me nuts, I leave the keys in the car every time I get out and usually forget to turn it off until it beeps at me. Keyless entry I'm indifferent to. Wife's car has that and it's ok, not a feature I'd pay for. I do like the key pad so I don't have to have my keys with me to open the door, beyond that it's all useless bells and whistles, in my opinion.
There was a thread a while ago, might have even been in the 150 forum where someone added push button. I would venture to say it's not impossible to add any of the features, some are just cost prohibitive to most people.
I'm not sure if this is the case anymore, but I believe in the earlier years that the push button start trucks would turn themselves off if parked for X minutes, while the keyed ones would not. I can't say with certainty what conditions lead to the shutdown. I know my keyed truck will idle for hours if I let it, and I have on occasion.
Hey everyone! I have a truck on order. Ordered a F350 Lariat with a similar build to the OP. I’ve questioned if I should have gotten the ultimate package for this exact reason. Can owners with both key types post a photo of their keys? I read mention that the actual key style is really large. I’m still within my window where I can make changes to my order.
I will never understand why keyless is not standard and why Ford doesn’t make the LED light an option regardless of trim level.
They're still making trucks with manual locks and roll up windows... They're a little bit away from standard keyless entry and not everyone wants a bunch of electronic crap on their vehicles. Some of these trucks are still down and dirty work trucks, less crap to go wrong the better and keyless entry and push button start is just another thing that can go wrong.
LED lights are easy enough to add aftermarket for those who really want it. Morimoto and done, 2 kits to choose from.
I guess I'm old school, I hate the keyless start on our Odyssey. It seems someone is always trying to locate the keys when we get out or a set gets left inside and it beeps at us. The key/fob on my 2017 F250 never bothered me and it never even crossed my mind about sticking out too far. To me it's just one more thing to go wrong on an already gizmo filled vehicle.
