Angry Tranny Shutter?

As I pull away from a stop sign, light, anythig, I get a small 1 second shutter, then it goes away. But returns when I stop and go again. Barely noticed it but I can. Any ideas as the cauce of the problem or is it just normal? Seems to be coming from tranny? I dont know,,,,,,,,,,,,,,2002 F-350 crew cab 7.3 stroker4x4

not sure what exactly you mean by shutter, but if you mean the truck shakes a bit, it could be the drive shaft or U-joints.

Shutter or Slipping

I have a 00' F250 SDP and I am getting a similiar sound or feeling. When you take off from a stop I feel what seems to be like a slip or torque up. I have asked some buddies and some seem to think that it is dry splines where the drive shaft goes into the transmission or transfer case. (I don't remember which) It was explained to me that when the splines get dry, they bind up and you can feel it.

How do you keep the splines "wet"?

It's most likely a carrier bearing issue. When you tow you put more weight on the rear end causing less of an angle at the carrier bearing. It might need to be shimmed down some to lessen the angle or replaced.
