On my 1965 Ford F-100, I have an Edelbrock 1404 carb. After driving, fuel leaks into the vacuum advance to distributor. Then the truck doesn't start, only turns over. Also, my fuel economy is down significantly, almost seems that I only get 5 mpg. What could be causing this? Thank you

Is that a known number or what it says on the regulator?
From the regulator. When I bought the truck, it was set ant 5 1/2. A buddy of mine runs his at 3. My local mechanic suggested to keep it low in the summer, then raise it back up in the winter. But other than adjusting the reg, I am still curious WHY fuel is seeping into the vacuum line. Any ideas.

On another note: My mechanic suggested installing electric fans on a new radiator. What are you thoughts?
I put one of those in a few years back. Worked ok for awhile but now it's backed down to 1 and still reads 5.5-6psi. I have a holley dual feed regulator that needs to be installed some day.
They are in fact, junk. Prone to internal leaking due to not being assembled from finely machined parts and also hyper-sensitive to vibration. Some may work well for a period of time but still not a quality part to rely on.

Do you know of a better option to use? Maybe better brand?
