Hi Guys
I have a 2016 F250 Excursion Conversion. I had posted this in the Excursion site but no response. What I want to do is add Cab / Clearance lights to the roof of my Truck. I noticed on the aftermarket units there is a separate style for the 2017 and later trucks.
So the 2 questions I have is has anyone here had them added, If so how difficult were they to add?
Second Question does anyone know if the 2017 Lights will fit on the 2016?
Also, if anyone has some pictures and recommendations as to a brand and colors they have used I would love to see them.
I plan to tie them to my existing lights, don't really think I need to tie them to a separate switch
Thanks
Do a search and there have been some good threads on installing them. I personally installed them on my 99. I went with Ford lights so the harness clips and everything lined up. Then swapped the yellow covers for Recon smoked with yellow bulbs. Measure measure measure is the best advice. I ran painters tape across the front of the cab so I could lay them out right. Use a unibit and drill the 15 holes carefully. I hooked them up to my running lights at the headlight switch. Never had any issue with rusting or anything with the OEM lights.
I thought about installing them on my 2016 but am still on the fence.
