tilt out windows

I have a 95 E350 with side door and rear door windows that "open" (tilt out). How difficult/can it be done ,to install them in my 2002 E 350 with fixed windows. I seem to remember a thread about this but cant find it,
. Thanks for any help.

If the door is the same, it's easy to remove. You need a blunt flat plastic scraper to cut through the old window weld. Ford uses a playable black goop to hold the window in place. The screws tighten the windows against the goop. I have moved windows from my first E150 to my fourth E350. 4 vans. Same 2-year windows. Never broke any glass. On my last van, I was not able to remove 1 rear fixed window as the previous owner used permanent window glue. I paid a window installer $100 as I like pop-out windows.

You need 3M window weld. I was told to fully clean the window frame. The stuff that I removed was so sticky that I never bothered to clean on 4 vans. Remove as much as you possible. Never had a leak or problem. Look at my buying history. 5 times.

Take your time removing each window. Be gentle and the window will pop out. I made the mistake once and swapped out the doors. I could not align the doors on both vans. Removing the windows is easy. It takes about 20 minutes per window. By the time you gather your tools, remove and install 4 windows, you will burn about 3 hours.
