Emergency Exit Side Windo

I have a 2007 E350 that was a handicap passenger van. It is equipped with an emergency exit side window. This is one of the long windows behind the drivers seat.

It looks like it's a pop out window similar to the ones on the rear doors, but it has locking pins and says emergency open only. Is this window able to open and close like a pop out window?

I would like to use it as such if that's possible, but I'm afraid to open it for fear that it can't be closed back or that the glass might just fall out completely if I pull the pins and open it?

I've searched everywhere for how this window works, but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Nobody has anything on this type of window? Bumping this in hopes someone could offer some details on whether I can open this window safely or if I should just leave alone? Thanks!

How about a picture or two. It would certainly help answer your question.

In case anyone else runs into this question, you can indeed open that window. The window open/close clips have a cotter pin (like on a fire extinguisher) that has to be pulled out/removed on each clip, and then the window opens just like any other ford flip out window. The pins are obviously there to keep the riding public from opening the window except in case of an emergency.

The lower window will also actually come unhooked from the open/close clips. Again, I'm assuming, but this is probably so someone could simply push the window out far enough to crawl out in an emergency.

It's actually a nice feature, as now I have a pop out window I can open to vent the van, when previously, I thought none of the windows would open except the two door windows.
