TSB/ Recall question

I’ll be taking my truck in next week for its first oil change.
I know there are some recalls and TSBs on the truck. Which ones do I need to stay away from and tell the dealer not to do?

For example, I read on here that a guy had his computer flashed for a tsb and after that he lost a majority of his throttle response and now dealer is no help.

It's tough to say without knowing which one's apply to your truck. The TSB's are usually only performed if you are experiencing the problem and bring it to their attention. If you can share which recalls you have it might help with the feedback.

There was a computer re program recall that was stopped shortly after it started. It caused some unwanted side effects. They have resumed that recall and hopefully fixed whatever the problem was. The only recall I have declined is the tail gate recall.

My current GMC has three pending recalls and has had them for at least 2 years. If it isn't broke, I'm not giving them the chance.

I took all the pending recall/TSB work. My truck is stock so none of the reprogramming would have affected me. While I did my own water intrusion prevention, I still allowed the tailgate recall to be performed.

Stock or not was irrelevant, the reprogram that was stopped and recently reissued was causing negative side effects on stock trucks. When did you have it done?

My truck falls under the recall for windshield adhesion. I have experience with a similar issue in the past on another vehicle. Having the dealer remove and reinstall/"reseal" a windshield led to a lifetime of water intrusion. I'm not going to give them the opportunity on this one.

My truck also falls into the same timeframe as the issues with the gooseneck/5th wheel plate and the Dana M275 axle thickness issues, but because it isn't a 6.7L powered rig, the recalls don't apply to me. Really gives a guy one of those warm, fuzzy feelings...
