I have a 1989 Ford F150. Threr is a recall on the transmission about it going into park and it not working sometimes ( https://www.ford-trucks.com/recalls/...y-1989/t-41039 ) anyway my question is: Is it too late to get it taken care of? What about the other recalls also? I'm not sure if it has to still be under warrenty or not. any information will be helpful. thanks in advance.
I had a truck in storage that had a recall. I forgot about it. 3 years latter I put it back on road and thought I'd get recall done. They wouldn't fix it said had been to long. as above check with dealer they can tell you.
Yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. I had the fuel cross-flow issue in my '93, and got it fixed in '04 under a recall extension that took it to 12yrs/150,000miles. The original recall was something like 10yrs/120,000miles, which is what the dealer pointed to when they wanted me to pay for it. I gave them the extension number, and they ate it, but there are clearly limits.
