OH computer jump

OH computer jump
I filled up my X today and the OH computer said it had 697 miles to empty. When I went to wal-mart to buy some "Diesel Fuel", it said it had 694 mte. I put in some "Diesel Fuel", and normally the read out will come out to about 717 or 720 mte . That's if and only if I add the entire bottle or most of it. When I added only half the bottle (the recommended dosage), it came up with 769 mte. I know that the OH Computer can be inaccurate at times, but this is just ridiculous. Is my X possesed seeing as it's halloween or has this happened to the rest of you X owners?

This really has me puzzled becuase I know the only reason that happens is because you used a tuner. I don't have a tuner, yet. The only mod I have is a K&N drop in filter. Should I just completely disregard this or just enjoy the fact that my X may be getting better mileage?
