left front door panel

How do I take off the driver door panel to get in to replace the door lock solinoid plus the door adjar switch- Is there any special things i need to know? How does the mirror cover come off? Just pry? How about the cover for all the door switches plus remote for the mirror- I do not want to break anything. I need to replace the same stuff on the rt rear door as well. I have a 2001 X - I understand the solonids and these door ajar switches are a problem to begin with. I could use some help from someone who has done this - thanks

Mirror cover comes off by careful prying. Switch panel is removed by prying all the way at the front of the panel and then slides towards the front to disengage a tab at the rear. There is one bolt once you take the switch panel out and there's one bolt under the small rectangular courtesy light on the door panel. Then you just slide the whole panel up to disengage the tabs and it's out. You'll have to disconnect the switch plugs from the switches to remove the panel. I've never changed the solenoids or door ajar switches so I can't help on that.
Good luck,
Mark
