The consensus is post filter since that is what your injectors will be getting.

I thought the bottom one was post filter? That's where mine is.

Really? You should still see pre-filter pressure. I’m assuming you have the truck running as you are trying to read fuel pressure.

Bottom one is post filter and I misread Listor's first post. I thought he said, "Top one or post filter?", didn't register that 'f' in there. No reading? Not to sound stupid but, did you turn the key on? Kind of like, "Is the toaster plugged in?"

If the pump is pressurizing the system and you are not receiving a signal from the sensor that the CTS3 can translate into PSI, there is a wiring fault, sensor fault or fault between the translation of the CTS3 and the sensor. For example, ISSPRO gauges have microprocessors in them to "translate" what the sensor is relaying as the sensor is just a transmitter of certain data points along the specific scale.

I snagged this image from Guzzle and inserted a red arrow to the port you DO want to install the sensor in. That is the post-filter port and what is more important than the pre-filter port.

I figured out I needed to reconfigure the sensor , I had pulled the sensor from the aih where I was pulling boost from , no big deal I need to pull the fuel bowl to install the 90 but I think I need another straight piece so the 90 will turn , or maybe I can pull the fuel bowl drain allowing it to clear?

SSJ has had good luck with mounting the sensor horizontally on many trucks, I and many others have not and had to use a vertical method. I ended up using a 90° adapter from Diesel-O-Rings. I did have to trim the yellow lever a bit, but I have found no hinderance to opening the valve in times I have needed to.

FWIW I didn’t use the 90° when installing the Autometer pressure sensor (yes, bottom port). Used a simple straight ORB-NPT adapter. This wouldn’t fit if also using a snubber though.

Looks like it really depends on the sensor model/manufacturer, adapters and the HPOP lines in relation to the the sensor.

Really, there is no wrong way to install the sensor as long as it is clear of abrasion concerns.

A bit more information here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...t-install.html

Sous, I just noticed you posted while I was typing my earlier reply about the straight versus 90. We said similar things but were completely unrelated to each other’s comments. Just wanted to clear the air in case it sounded like I was trying to argue a point. Didn’t even know you’d mentioned it.
