Leveling Kit

Hey everyone. New here and just picked up a 1991 2wd F150 Lariat 5.0. It was my wife's grandmas truck since new. I am looking to level and put 31's on it. It has the twin I Beam. So far the best inexpensive solution I have found is Superlift 117 coils. Has anyone used these? What else would I need to go along with them? Shocks? I have also read I might need a caster adjustment bushing? Any advice would be appreciated. TIA. Here's the truck...

Interior

And one of my other Fords just for fun...

Look forward to learning a bunch here...

Use springs for the front of an F250 with the 460. Yes you will need camber bushings.

Thanks. Should I go to a yard or buy new replacements?

Buy new replacements is the best bet.

I'm not so sure you will need new camber bushings. The alignment shop will tell you and you should have it aligned.. it will be an easy fix if you are two wheel drive and you appear to be.

That interior looks brand new I've got to know how many miles are on it 😃

I have the Superlift 117 coils and they work nicely and ride great. Used them on 3 different trucks over the years. Along with 31 10.50s makes the best setup for a 2wd F150.

You will need camber eccentrics. But you don't need longer socks for the small amount of lift. I never bothered with it.

Nice 66, I have a 65. Are you on VMF?

I know. It’s crazy. The pics are from before I shampooed it too. Just vacuumed out the dog hair. She had some sort of lamb skin covers on the seats the entire time. 126k on the truck. I found some paperwork. Only 18k miles in the last 20 years. The tires are from 2002😳. Here is the back.

Thanks for the info! I will just order both and get it over with. I have been on vmf under the same user name for about 10 years. Good to see there are some VMF’rs in here! I had a 67 coupe and an 85 bronco in high school. I sold the 67 after about 10 years of ownership and regretted it almost immediately. Here a pic of it.

Thanks for letting me know. The back seat looks unused also. And the door stickers look like the factory just put them on. Did she keep it garaged?

No problem. It was garaged most it’s life until 19 months ago.

4x4 and 4x2 springs are the same on these trucks.

Right but the camber bushings are different.
The way to adjust them is a two-sided page of instructions one side for four wheel one side for two wheel and you use the page depending on which one you get.

You can also look at the specifications for application. It's under Check the fit.
