So I decided that I wanted to destroy a deer this morning, and of course did some damage to front end, I have a 99 f250 superduty and I need to know what the name of the part is that grille attaches to, also and the radiator looking thing behind that and in front of the oil cooler. I would send a pic but I dont know how to upload it from my phone to pc.
Haha, I'm sorry that sucks. A/C condenser is in the front like they stated, not to bad for my 03-F250 its only like 50$ plus shipping
for a nicer one off Rockauto.com that corrosion resistant. Keep in mind you will then need a A/C shop to recharge your system after replacing it. I do not recommend those little
handheld A/C recharge kits as simply the air in the line between your recharge can and your system could hold moisture in it making it not as effective as it could be.
I'd also consider getting a radiator protector while your in their something like this
This is the first time that I seen deer cross on this part of I-90 I was shocked, good thing I didnt ride my bike to work. I have to replace so much in the front, guess its my fault for hitting Bambi doing 80.
Always remember to get off of the brakes and back on the throttle right before you hit them. Raises up the front end to go over them and not leave them on the hood or inside the windshield. Old Texas redneck trick..
If the condenser is broken open you'll also need a drier. Best to replace the condenser and then take it to a AC shop for the drier replacement and they can vac the system down which boil out all the moisture and get the oil charge out. Once its leak free they'll charge it with the right amount of oil and refrigerant. Gonna cost a few hundred for their work for sure.
