exhaust brake/engine brake and brake lights

Anyone know if when the engine exhaust brake engages does it turn on brake lights?
my motorhome will light up brake lights when i use the exhaust brake but i have not found anywhere if my ford does

No, it doesn't. If you have cruise control on and it decides to apply the brakes to slow you down then the brake lights do come on.

I thought for that to work was to push the exhaust brake button 2 times.

Not on my truck. The brakes only get activated when cruise control is on. The Auto mode of the exhaust brake (2nd press) is going to try to keep the speed when you let off the accelerator. But it won't apply the brakes.

hmmm, I guess I need to re read the manual, I understood it wrong aparently.
no surprise it is a lot of reading and I might have had some adult beverages.
