You have a more legitimate gripe about other parts of the suspension such as the front axle that will rust or is not painted at all.

Tired about guys crying about buying an $80,000 truck it's ridiculous. So Upped like.

The next truck probably will be 6 figures. Why? Because I can!

It’s called surface rust people.

Stop getting stressed over YouTube videos and the price of the vehicle has nothing to do with it.

It’s amazing how many people are spending so much time under their vehicle as opposed to driving it.

Yes, it’s an eyesore but it’s not going to affect the vehicle.

Is this a common problem? Seems way to early to see rust.
I think you should immediately start the Lemon Law process because the vehicle is unsafe to drive.

Funny thread, maybe due to age but I've not yet to inspect leaf springs while changing oil.

Put your focus on the frame and rocker panels.

OP makes a point about quality.. if we all buy them and just accept what we get, where’s the accountability? Yet, the truck still does what it was built for even with surface rust on a leaf spring. It’s a frame built to work and take some abuse. I don’t think platinum trim paint is any more durable than XL paint
